CONCLUSION
AND NEXT STEPS

These development proposals follow on from the endorsement of the Framework Masterplan and is the next formal step in bringing this site forward for development to deliver much needed housing and infrastructure improvements to Bognor Regis and Arun.

 

The development will provide the following key benefits:

 

  • Up to new 2,200 homes new homes, of which approximately 30% will be affordable, providing a range of sizes for the young, families and the older generation.
     

  • 55 hectares of public open space.
     

  • The delivery of key social infrastructure including a new three-form entry primary school with nursery and special educational needs provision, a tier 7 library, community hub  and sports facilities in the form of a new 3G pitch and two grass sports pitches.
     

  • Up to 25,000 sqm GEA employment floorspace within up to 6.1 hectares employment zone on a key access route between Bognor Regis and Chichester.

  • Improved access to the surrounding countryside with new footpaths and cycleways and wellness trail.
     

  • Significant Biodiversity Net Gain
